Diane and Peter took over Bowen House in November 2009, the house is a Victorian end terrace which over the years has been renovated and updated but still keeps many of the original features, with small personal touches adding to its character.
Bowen House is a ten minute stroll away from the Bar Walls, Monk Bar and the Minster and within easy walking distance of many local attractions, bars and restaurants.
It is our aim to continue to improve the good reputation of this warm and friendly guest house in the beautiful City of York.
York is a great base not only to enjoy York itself but also the surrounding area including Castle Howard, the Yorkshire Coast, walking in the Howardian Hills. So don't just come for a weekend spend a few days with us and visit the lovely villages of Helmsley, Pickering and Thornton Dale, all are a joy to explore.
